Waiting for ships…

Her back fin is mostly done!!!

Life gets in the way of stitching….

But I have updated my things for sale page if anyone wants to poke their head in.

I didn’t get so much done…

I managed to spill coffee on the edge of the fabric – not the stitching thank goodness, just the fabric, so it spent the day being washed and drying. It was rainy so it took quite a while to dry. I managed to get part of her fin done though…

While it was drying I did a little Cirque des Carreaux

And worked on dyeing a little more – trialed another combo for a friend- so here are the two
experiments in dyeing

Another go at dyeing… now back to Waiting for Ships…

And here are some more trials with dyes – each piece is about 7 by 9 inches, 14ct aida, just so I can try colour combos… anyone want one of these as a 14ct fat quarter?

No stitching still…

Oh no… I am having a three day stitching drought 😦

On the other hand, my metre of linen, evenweave and half metre of aida all arrived today. They were very bright white, and when I put them through the wash the water came out a little blue, so I wonder if they were dressed with an optical brightener. Anyway, they are washed and ready to be cut up, edged and dyed on the weekend… or maybe tomorrow.

I guess life is getting in the way a bit this week – I have a house inspection tomorrow, so things have been put away and tidied up…

And my deal with myself was I could think about a final order for the month of something if I got the house organised for the inspection – I really dislike cleaning even though I do it every week and an inspection requires just that bit more attention to detail… I am tossing up between Rosewood Manor’s Language of the flowers and Ink Circles Quaker Floral puzzle, or both…

No photos today…

And very little stitching…

That said, I have done about 100 stitches on Waiting for ships, finished the cover for my ottoman and done some general repairs on clothing.

I keep eyeing off Rosewood Manor’s Language of the flowers. I don’t *need* it but it is ever so pretty.

My Enchanted Fabrics order is a work in progress now. Lori emailed me and I am converting one to Lugana as she has run out of Monaco. Which means YAY 32ct.

What a difference a few minutes makes!

I received my HDF order today – 3 spools of Peacock crowns, 2 of BeCherished and 1 of dragon heart. I took two photos, about 2 minutes apart (if even that) and check out the colour difference!!!

Over half done… YAY!!!

So I am still stitching Cirque Des Carreaux. The goal was to get the middle two pages done, which I a have almost achieved and then I will go back to Waiting for Ships. So with a little over a page and a half left, here is my cirque:

I have ordered some white linen and evenweave to dye. I have pink, coral, navy, mid and light blues, turquoise, green, and peach dyes to play with at the moment. I think there might be one or two more colours, but I can’t recall off the top of my head. What colours do people think I should try in combination?

Cirque des Carreaux again…

I think its slightly more than half done now 😀
