Finally updating…

The next month or so I probably won’t be around so much… have things on which will slow down my stitching.

Anyway, this weekend I got some stitching done… and some dyeing but that hasn’t been watched out yet, so no photos πŸ˜€

Firstly, the event calendar is about 2/3 done – just have to put dividing lines in to make the pockets…. and his name when I have done that.

And close up of the final motifs – I beaded some of these as I am not happy with my French knots…

And Titania.. Gosh she is a lot of pink!! Almost through my first skein of 818…

I got distracted…

I was going to stitch on the train to Melbourne but we were put on coaches instead as the air conditioning on the train broke… Which was problematic on a 28 degree day. It was very warm. And coming back I was waaayyyyy too tired to stitch anything… so I still have another 5 motifs to go on the advent calendar:

And because it was next to me when I sat down when I got home and recovered a bit, here is Misty Morning Vineyard:

It is awaiting leaves and flowers in each corner:

I think my Algerian Eyelets are getting neater with each corner. Good practice. Must pull out my Papillon Creations MSAL soon.

Another update

The advent calendar again:

Overall it is taking shape – only 8 and a half little squares left to stitch πŸ˜€

Christmas stitching – start of an Event Calendar

I am stitching an event calendar for one of my nephews – it is a kit by Semco, which came with a calico bag that you attach the rows to, and divide them into pockets- so that you can put something in each day, and then the big present for Christmas in the calico bag.

The scissors are (from top to bottom) – the Ginghers (they turned up out of my sofa!!), Klasse Italian scissors, el cheapo made in China ones, and then Klasse Italian stork scissors.
