With the over 1 skin… I have made a deal with myself that I will stitch one strand of skin and then can do some of her dress each time I stitch Fairy Queen, otherwise I will never get her done I think.
I stitched some more Sleeping Beauty as well. With Mirabilia patterns she has a very specific way of setting out her colours and so once you work out what she is doing where, they become very easy to stitch. I got about 2-3 times the amount of stitching done on Sleeping Beauty as I did on Fairy Queen because of this…
And just for fun, while I am waiting for them to arrive, some of the colours I am getting from Enchanted fabrics
I will post real photos when they arrive in 6 weeks-2months time 😀

Hello,
sorry for my bad english. I am from germany.
I am a stitching beginner. And have started with some Mirabilias. It is not very easy for me, but i will try.
You said, that mirabilia patterns has a specific way of setting her colours. Can you probably tell me what the way is? Or give me some help/tips?
Greetings, Anna
P.S.: The pattern and fabric for “Sleeping beauty” is waiting here for begin. I like your stitching picture.

Thank you.
I guess I mean she has patterns that I have picked up as I have stitched with how she blends colours to get certain effects.. so for the drape of the blanket that I am stitching at the moment the two colours tend to go something like this:
XXXXXyXyXyXyXyyyyyy
XXXXyXyXyXyXyyyyyy
XXXyXyXyXyyyyyyy
It kind forms a pattern in my head so I can just glance at the pattern to make sure I am on track and keep stitching. I think partly I have gotten to this stage as I have about 6 or 7 Mirabilia’s on the go including 2 finished…
Good luck with your Mira’s. Sleeping Beauty is a giant and has taken me about 18 months to get to this stage.
Oh, and the other thing, I have been stitching on and off for about 19 years… I think that also makes me faster at stitching. I had a big break in the middle of it and I was so slow when I started back to stitching, so speed comes with practice, perseverence and experience!!! (Mind you I am not as fast as the ladies at http://www.mirabiliastitchers.yuku.com – one of them finished Mermaid of the Pearls in a month!!!!!)

Thanks for your answer.
Altough i am stitching not so long mirabilias, i seen this colour pattern. With this the colours are mixed slowly together.
Actually i am stitching at “Santa of the Forest” from Lavender & Lace. I like it very much.
Happy stitching,
Anna
