So here is a big update.

Firstly, I have been stitching away at Fire Goddess:
With Flash

And I have been stitching Lily at work. Considering she gets maybe 20-30 minutes a shift at most, I am happy with how she is progressing:

For something fun, I started Dolly Mama’s Coffee:

14 ct and very bright!!!

And pulled out my Cirque de Cercles No. 2, stitched with HDF Paua Abalone:

A few different things…

You may remember I started Mermaid of the Pearls quite a while ago… She sat looking like this for a long time:

After tonight she now looks like this:

She is the most annoying mermaid to stitch. I am not sure why, but I am not enjoying stitching her as much as I did Waiting for Ships, or Mermaids of the Deep Blue. There isn’t the same colour flow I think and so you are jumping here, there and everywhere with colours.

And here is an update on Lily – she is a very slowly progressing WIP simply because she may only get 20-40minutes every time I am at work:

Sorry about the bad photos!!

There is a very bright, bright orange in Fire Goddess that I didn’t think was right, but now I have stitched it does actually work.

I pulled out Lily,
lily,nora corbett
who I hadn’t stitched for a while, and realised that I can’t find my skeins of 948 and 754… which for Nora Corbett/Mirabilia designs, is the skin colours!

I know I have about 4 skeins of 948… but do you think I can find one of them???

That said, she has progressed… pictures will follow :D

BLING!

Today I started adding the bling to Waiting for Ships after finishing all the backstitch (which actually took a lot longer than I thought – but I think that was partly because I as getting distracted by the movie I had on)… Anyway, her headpiece is gorgeous. I tried to take a close up but I think my hands were shaking a little so everything was out of focus… sigh… maybe better photos tomorrow, but here she is anyway… her blinged up headpiece:
