I have been working on Fairy Moon, and Titania the last few days. Slow progress, but progress none the less.

I have to get back to Fire Goddess. I am up to stitching the swirls in the sky on her and then beading and she will be done… but so much Kreinik!!

A new year…

So I should make some new year resolutions… which would probably all fall in a hole very quickly. My life is in chaos again, so stitching is still sort of on a backburner. That said, I have finished the cotton stitching on Fire Goddess.

I have 2 WiPs so close to being finished it isn’t funny – Fire Goddess, and Meddy.

I was going to start something new for the New Year, however it has been too hot to stitch – yesterday it was 40 C I believe, and today the house has been so hot still. No air conditioning and still air is no fun

So just for fun, what are people thinking about stitching this year??

My goals so far:

Craft Kitten fabrics has created and iPhone/iPod app called Crafty Fabric that lets you put in fabric count, stitch count and margins to work out the size fabric you need. Metric people be warned it is in inches, but most of us I think can still work with that

I know it has been ages since I did a proper post with pictures and all. I have been stitching away on and off on Miss Meddy. She is going swimmingly, if you will pardon the pun.

I couldn’t get the colours to photograph true to life, but here she is anyway:

I really like this fabric, and am so sad when Enchanted Fabrics stopped dyeing but Lori had to live her life, and so these things happen. Now the weather is starting to get better I am going to have to get back to dyeing again myself. The house we moved into at the start of the year has no convenient area for dyeing, so I have to be outdoors to do so. And the weather has not been obedient, or at all nice for this purpose

Its been over a month!!

I promise to post a picture later when I have stitched her face. Meddy has no hair, but has arms, a torso, and tail. In other words, other than the hair, most of the stitching is done… then she needs beads!!

I have again been really slack about posting. I have continued to stitch away, pulling out a very old WiP, from a few years back, and adding to it. It is the most annoying WiP that I have had to frog and re-frog multiple times. I was starting to think that it just doesn’t want to be stitched. Anyway, it has progressed:

So here is a big update.

Firstly, I have been stitching away at Fire Goddess:

And I have been stitching Lily at work. Considering she gets maybe 20-30 minutes a shift at most, I am happy with how she is progressing:

And pulled out my Cirque de Cercles No. 2, stitched with HDF Paua Abalone:
